About Naomi, RPN - Owner and Cosmetic Nurse Injector
Naomi received her diploma as a Registered Practical Nurse in 2003 from Norquest College Edmonton, AB. She rotated between Endoscopy, Cardiology, Mental Health, GI, Palliative Care and Geriatric units for 3 years before moving to Ontario in 2006.
When she arrived in Ontario she worked at St. Joseph’s for a year in Endoscopy before pursuing a passion in cosmetic injectables, laser and pre/post operative surgical career in early 2008.
Naomi started her aesthetic nursing journey at Spamedica working closely with Dr. Stephen Mulholland at Spa Medica (https://www.spamedica.com) intermittently for 5 years at two locations in busy downtown Toronto and Yorkville.
Naomi was in a publication by the Toronto Star touching on boomer men seeking cosmetic anti-aging options, as well, had been in a few live broadcasts on Breakfast Television performing a hyperhidrosis treatment on a patient while working for Spamedica.
Naomi has close to 10 years experience with Botox, Xeomin and Dysport of the toxin family.
Also from the dermal family, Naomi has worked with Juvèderm, Teosyal, Belotero, Radiesse, Restylane, Emervel, Evolence, Revanesse and Princess Hyaluronic Acid dermal filler brands.
Naomi has been trained and has many years experience in IPL/BBL, Laser Hair Removal-Yag, alexandrite and diode, RF, Microdermabrasion, Pro-fractionated laser, skin tightening devices, Intracell, Affirm laser, Zerona Laser, Coolsculpting, Midadry, Endymed, microneedling, PRP, GliSODin and Latisse. Has also recently been trained in Belkyra by Allergan.
Her skin care repertoire include Obaji, Skinmedica, Skincueticals, Teoxane, Skin Tx, Viviere, DCL and Oxygenetics.
Naomi then moved on to a training/sales position with Clarion Medical Technologies covering South West Ontario managing 150 cosmetic and surgical accounts training physicians and nurses on dermal filler injections using the hyaluronic acid Teosyal by Teoxane, canulla techniques and Platelet Rich Plasma and GliSODin. She continues to work with Clarion to this day with training on the Teosyal pen, an effective tool to safely inject dermal hyaluronic acids. She also assisted with the launch of Teoxane’s Redensity II in 2012, the first FDA approved nutrient rich dermal filler for the under eye indication.
Missing the patient/nurse interaction and passion for sculpting, she then went back to performing botox and dermal filler injections at the McLean Clinic for Dr. Hugh McLean in Mississauga for 3 years. She has extensive knowledge in the cosmetic surgical industry as well, so it’s nice for her to be able to consult and share certain information based on experience with post operative patients.
Naomi has had the honour of reaching the status of top advanced nurse injectors in Canada, and has been invited to Allergan’s annual Faces meetings since 2013 where top plastic surgeons and key leaders in cosmetics around the globe discuss and share new techniques and advances in the industry. Her expertise have also been featured in an article of the UK’s Journal of Aesthetic Nursing in September of 2014 on Cosmetic Nursing in Canada. Naomi attends international conferences worldwide including private trainings in New York City for non-surgical threadlifts. Naomi has also attended the prestigious EuroMedicom conference in Monte Carlo, Monaco to learn the latest and greatest beauty techniques.
A true artist at heart, Naomi is a self taught musician in vocals, piano and guitar. She writes in her free time and shares some of her music online. She has performed her music at Burlington and Oakvilles Relay- for- Life Cancer benefit put on by the Cancer Society 2013-2015. When she first started her nursing career in 2003, she would bring her guitar to the Royal Alexander hospital in Edmonton and play for the geriatric and palliative patients. Music is a wonderful and therapeutic tool that can help heal and comfort ones state of being.
Naomi resides in Burlington with her husband and four fabulous children ages 15 to 22. There is never a dull moment in the household.
At the end of the day, Naomi wants to see that all of her patients needs and/or concerns for enhancing or maintaining a certain look have been met all while looking natural. Naomi strives for perfection and believes it begins with living healthier lifestyles from what we ingest, to what amazing medical grade skin care products there are on the market. Everyone deserves to look and feel their best as they age, and Naomi has the knowledge, eye and skilled hand to make that happen for each of her patients. She looks forward to creating a plan with you to assist in your anti-aging goals.
